CONOWINGO — More than 30 people came out to Conowingo Elementary School on Wednesday to find out more information about the Wildcat Point Generation Facility and ask questions of Old Dominion Electric Cooperative officials.

Officials said the project includes the construction of a nearly seven-mile water pipeline from the Susquehanna River in Pennsylvania to the Conowingo site as well as installation of two new Mitsubishi-made, natural gas-powered turbines, cooling towers, associated electric generators and a heat recycling center, officials said. At peak output in the summer, the Wildcat Point plant will be able to produce 1,000 megawatts of power.
